A Legacy of Leadership and Humanity
The Rotary Club of Kandy was founded in 1941 as a result of a historic meeting called by the then Government Agent of Kandy, E.T. Dyson.
The Club was chartered on 24th September 1941 by Certificate No. 5491 with Rtn. Dyson as its Charter President.
The charter ceremony itself was held on the 24th of February 1942 under the distinguish patronage of Past District Governor Sir Chittapalam Gardiner.
